Leaked Microsoft documents corroborate reports about two separate programs aimed at bringing older Xbox console games to PC, handhelds, and future hardware. The reported plans include a disc-to-digital licence conversion system alongside a native PC emulator for original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles.
Under the proposed disc-to-digital scheme, further corroborated by the documents shared by The Verge, players insert an Xbox One or Xbox Series disc into an optical drive console to grant a digital license to their account. That license then carries over to disc-less hardware, including future devices like Project Helix. Details from The Verge note that Microsoft's secondary initiative focuses on running original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles locally on PCs, handhelds, and Helix via a dedicated emulator.
These emulated titles will reportedly function like standard Xbox PC releases, featuring cloud saves and shared account progress. Microsoft intends to manage the emulator software, certification, storefront integration, and ongoing support, leaving publishers responsible only for opt-ins and pricing. As per the memo, permission for Xbox and Xbox 360 games will have to be given by the publisher on a title-by-title basis.
Original Xbox titles are scheduled to launch first, followed by Xbox 360 games targeting rollout windows across 2027 and 2028.

A Japanese distributor named ASK has revealed Havn's upcoming BF 360 Flow Solid PC case. Building on the airflow-focused BF 360 lineup launched last year, the new variant replaces the previous translucent glass panel with an opaque, closed left side panel while retaining three pre-installed fans.
The Flow Solid model (via ITHome) brings a more understated aesthetic to the series. Havn initially offered the chassis in standard fanless and fan-equipped Flow configurations, both featuring glass side panels. The updated variant keeps the three-fan cooling setup, bundling two 180mm fans alongside a single 140mm fan out of the box.
Underneath the new solid panel sits a split-compartment mid-tower layout with seven expansion slots. Up front, a rock-patterned grille feeds air to an internal intake ramp angled toward the graphics card. Installation relies on a semi-open frame with magnetic front and top panels, while 33mm of rear clearance allows cables to be routed. There's also an adjustable GPU support bracket integrated within the chassis.
Hardware support accommodates E-ATX motherboards up to 277mm wide, graphics cards up to 410mm in length, CPU coolers up to 195mm tall, and PSUs up to 200mm long. Liquid cooling options include space for up to a 360/280mm radiator along the top panel, while front I/O features one USB-C 10Gbps port and two USB-A 5Gbps ports. Distributor ASK has set Japanese pricing at ¥27,980 (£132), which is about the same as the original BF 360 Flow case.

Xbox’s PC push continues this week, with new reporting indicating concrete plans for its long‑rumoured disc‑to‑digital system, alongside official steps toward expanding backwards compatibility to include Xbox 360 titles on PC.
According to a new report from The Verge, Microsoft is preparing to roll out its disc‑to‑digital conversion feature for Xbox Series X owners within weeks. The system will allow players to insert a supported physical disc and receive a digital licence tied to their account. Crucially, Play Anywhere titles will also benefit, so if you own a physical Xbox game that supports Play Anywhere, converting it to a digital licence will grant access on both Xbox and PC.
Previous evidence suggested Xbox 360 support would come to PC, but now the news appears to be official. According to the same Verge report, Microsoft has begun working with publishers to bring Xbox 360 backwards compatibility to PC, offering an opt‑in system that requires no engineering work from developers. Publishers simply need to approve their titles, after which they can be made available to PC players through Microsoft’s emulator‑based compatibility layer.
Backwards compatible games also available digitally may also end up included in the disc-to-digital conversion program.

Microsoft officially launched console backwards compatibility for PC last week, bringing over a handful of original Xbox titles to the PC platform for the first time. Now, evidence suggests that Xbox 360 titles will soon be supported too.
According to a new report from Tom’s Hardware, the backwards compatible releases shipped with a native x86 version of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 emulator. Modders quickly discovered that the PC versions of the newly released OG Xbox titles were running inside Xe03, the same emulator used for backwards compatibility on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. This discovery was further backed up by dataminer findings shared by TheLunarixus, confirming that the PC packages contain both the 360 emulator and the OG Xbox emulator nested inside it.
With Xe03 now running natively on PC, modders have already begun loading Xbox 360 executables directly into the emulator with promising results. Early tests have seen titles like Plants vs Zombies, Steins Gate, Fuzion Frenzy and Midnight Club Los Angeles booting with varying degrees of stability. This opens the door for major Xbox 360 exclusives such as Gears of War 2 and 3, Fable 2 and Fable 3 and many more console-only titles to finally make their way to PC in the future, either through official releases or community driven projects.
Microsoft has promised to bring more backwards compatible games to PC over time, but it has not yet announced plans for Xbox 360 support. However, the fact that the emulation tech is already in place shows that Xbox 360 titles will be making their way over to PC in the near future.

For years, there have been rumours that Microsoft is working on an official emulation tool to bring classic Xbox and Xbox 360 games to the PC platform. Now, Microsoft is making it official, with the first wave of original Xbox games becoming PC compatible for the first time.
The Xbox Backwards Compatibility program has re-opened after spending the last few years on pause. Now, Microsoft is turning its attention to bringing console titles to PC, starting with four original Xbox titles, including Blinx The Time Sweeper, Conker Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Fuzion Frenzy. All four games are available for purchase via the Xbox App and support Play Anywhere, so you only have to buy it once to access it on both console and PC.
This isn't just the same console version now running on PC hardware. Microsoft has taken extra steps to implement customisable graphics settings, so users can enable enhanced anti-aliasing, higher anisotropic filtering, run games in fullscreen or windowed modes, enable or disable V-Sync and boost resolution by up to 4x. While the initial wave of PC-compatible Xbox games is small, Microsoft has plans to add more titles in the future.
In order to run backwards compatible Xbox games, you won't need a particularly powerful PC. These games should run on current-generation PC gaming handhelds, and if you have a DIY PC, anything with a GTX 950 or newer should do the trick. You will need to be on Windows 11 though.

MSI has officially unveiled its new flagship case and CPU cooler: the MEG Maestro 900R full-tower chassis and the MEG Coreliquid E15 360 all-in-one liquid CPU cooler. Both products feature premium aluminium construction and advanced structural designs for enthusiast system builders.
The MEG Maestro 900R full-tower case uses a unique “Centered Architecture” that places the motherboard, graphics card, and cooling hardware at the absolute centre of the chassis. This layout pairs with a triple-sided panoramic tempered-glass exterior and features a signature 75º aluminium geometry. To assist with system assembly, MSI includes a detachable, rotatable motherboard tray that can function independently as an open test bench across four installation orientations. The company also bundles a PCIe Gen5 x16 riser cable and a vertical GPU mounting bracket to facilitate centred graphics card positioning.
Accompanying the case is the MEG Coreliquid E15 360 AIO liquid cooler, which features an integrated 110º curved 2K AMOLED display capable of rendering naked-eye 3D content. MSI uses a magnetic Pogo-pin connection to attach the screen to the pump block, removing visible cables from the central CPU area. System communications like screen data, pump power, fan speeds, and ARGB lighting route through a single cable via the EZ Conn system.
Regarding thermals, MSI says the Laminar Focus technology runs the centre fan clockwise while the outer fans spin counter-clockwise to reduce turbulence. A three-phase sensorless motor powers the pump, while an integrated Cooling Safeguard system flashes a red warning light if it detects abnormal fan speeds.

MSI MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 AIO cooler
Alongside the new case, MSI also introduced the MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 all-in-one liquid cooler. One of its biggest highlights is a large 110-degree curved 2K AMOLED display mounted on the pump block. MSI says the screen can deliver a naked-eye 3D visual effect, making it a standout feature inside any PC build.
The cooler features an aluminium construction with brushed finishes and diamond-cut details that match the premium design language of the MAESTRO 900R case. Users can customize the display with different visual content, allowing for a more personal look.
MSI has also simplified installation with its magnetic Pogo-pin display connection and EZ Conn system. These features reduce cable clutter by combining multiple functions, including display data, fan control, pump power, and lighting controls, into a single connection.
Cooling performance remains a key focus. The MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 uses MSI’s Laminar Focus Technology, which employs a special fan layout to reduce airflow turbulence and lower noise levels while improving cooling efficiency. The cooler is designed to handle the thermal demands of modern high-performance processors.
For added reliability, MSI has included a Cooling Safeguard feature. If the system detects abnormal fan behavior, the cooler automatically activates a red warning light to alert users of a potential issue.

Chieftec has introduced the Iceberg Pro 360 series, a new lineup of 360mm all-in-one liquid CPU coolers featuring an integrated centrifugal VRM fan built directly into the pump housing.
The new series includes two distinct models: the Iceberg Pro 360 RGB and the Iceberg Pro 360 Dark. Both configurations deploy a 360mm aluminium radiator alongside an aerospace-inspired pump design. Chieftec aims to improve overall motherboard thermal performance by using the integrated pump fan to actively direct airflow over nearby VRMs, M.2 SSDs, and memory modules.
Cable management and installation are said to be streamlined with the company's Snap-On interlocking 120mm radiator fans, which spin up to 2200 RPM. Other performance figures for the fans include a rated airflow of 64.72 CFM and a rated air pressure of 3.06 mmH2O. The VRAM fan speed is rated at 500-2200RPM.
Illumination choices separate the two variants: the RGB model uses ARGB/PWM fans, while the Dark edition swaps them for non-illuminated PWM fans to achieve a clean, all-black look. We are primarily focusing on the performance of each cooler at 100% fan speed and also when locked to 40dBA noise output. We will focus on cooling performance using a manual overclock with all-core frequency and VCORE locked to 5.2GHz/1.3V (AMD) and 5.5GHz/1.3V (Intel) and Precision Boost Overdrive performance.
The test data is logged using HWINFO and the final 10 minutes of the data is calculated to find the average CPU temperature and CPU clock multiplier (AMD PBO Test) and then plotted in the charts.
For testing, we use a 30-minute looped run of Cinebench R23 and record the steady-state CPU temperature at the end of the test. This ensures that the CPU has had ample time to warm up and reach a steady state under all of the coolers.
The ambient is maintained at 19-21 degrees Celsius. Where there is variation beyond this temperature range, we add extra repeated tests to ensure consistency. However, this is well controlled now with A/C.
We also test each cooler with at least two fresh installs (typically three) to mitigate the likelihood of poor mounting spoiling results.
Ambient temperature and humidity are controlled via a mini split air conditioning system inside the test room. Ambient temperature is maintained between 19-20°C; temperature delta figures are shown in the charts (ambient temperature is deducted from the measured component temperature).
Test Results:
Acoustics
We will start by looking at noise output which gives us a good indication of thermal performance based on noise.
When looking at noise output with the fans and pump operating at max speed, there’s quite a wide spread between the coolers on test. The quietest is the ASRock Challenger 360 Digital at 47dBA, which puts it among the quieter coolers in our database overall. The Enermax Liqmax IV 360 also performs well at 48dBA, while the CPS PCCOOLER GT360M ARGB Display sits in the middle at 51dBA.
At the louder end of the chart are the ASRock Phantom Gaming 360 LCD and Cooler Master MasterLiquid Core Nex 360 ARGB both at 52dBA, which is noticeable but still quite typical for 360mm liquid coolers running flat out. The Sudokoo Energlo 360 comes in slightly higher at 53dBA, while the loudest cooler of this group is the DeepCool Spartacus 360 at 55dBA. That’s definitely getting loud enough to be quite distracting.
Thermal Performance: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
With fans and pumps still running at max speed, thermal performance from the coolers on test is competitive, with only 2°C separating the best and worst results in this test. Leading the pack are the CPS PCCOOLER GT360M ARGB Display, DeepCool Spartacus 360 and Sudokoo Energlo 360, all at 59°C CPU over ambient under steady-state load, which places them among the top performing AIOs in our chart overall.
Just behind are the ASRock Challenger 360 Digital and Phantom Gaming 360 LCD, alongside the Cooler Master ML Core Nex 360 ARGB, with all three producing a 60°C delta result. While not chart-topping, the difference in real-world terms is small and well within the range you would expect from good 360mm liquid coolers. The Enermax Liqmax IV 360 Display trails slightly at 61°C, though again the margin is minimal.
At a noise-normalised level of 40dBA, the thermal results provide a clearer indication of efficiency once acoustics are taken into account. At the top we see the ASRock Challenger 360 Digital and Phantom Gaming 360 LCD, both with a 63°C delta, placing them in the top end of the chart. Just behind them is the Sudokoo Energlo 360 at 64°C over ambient, followed by the CPS PCCOOLER GT360M ARGB Display and the DeepCool Spartacus 360 at 65°C. suggesting similar efficiency once acoustics are equalised.
Further back is the Enermax Liqmax IV 360 at 66°C over ambient, while the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Core Nex 360 ARGB trails slightly further at 67°C. These results indicate both models lose efficiency when limited to a 40dBA noise target, relying more heavily on higher fan speeds to maintain thermal performance.
Switching to AMD PBO testing, the results reflect a more real-world scenario where we see how effectively coolers can maintain boost clocks under sustained load. The strongest results come from the ASRock Phantom Gaming 360 LCD, which posts a 52.5x clock multiplier and 63°C delta, placing it among the top-performing units in the PBO test. The ASRock Challenger 360 Digital follows with the same clock multiplier but just 1°C higher delta so basically producing the same CPU performance.
Just below is the Deepcool Spartacus with the same 52.5x clock multiplier at 65°C and the Sudokoo Energlo at 66°C delta, again with a 52.5 x multiplier. Further back with a clock multiplier of 52.4x are the Cooler Master ML Coer Nex Digital at 64°C delta, the CPS PCCOOLER GT360M at 64°C and the Enermax trails at 66 °C over ambient. While these results place them behind the best coolers, the clock multipliers are narrow enough that, under AMD PBO conditions, all of the tested 360mm AIOs deliver similar sustained boost behaviour.
KitGuru says: In terms of real-world performance, all of these coolers are quite closely matched. However, in terms of best value for money, I'd go with the ASRock Challenger 360 Digital as it combines good thermals, low max fan speed noise and a decent-looking screen at a reasonable price.

At Computex this year, DeepCool arrived armed with its new Assassin 5 Vision CPU cooler, utilising a new 2.0 Vapor Chamber design to improve heat transfer. As the Vision in the name implies, there is an LCD screen that sits on top of the cooler, giving you quick access to stats like CPU temperature and fan speed at a glance. DeepCool also has the AN600 VC for more compact systems, and the AK700 VC in black and white colour options.
For the workstation crowd, DeepCool is launching the Station X 620, a new air cooler built specifically for extremely high core-count CPUs, capable of handling up to a 520W TDP.
DeepCool also has its new SILENTNOX PRO 360 AIO, the very first from the company to feature a curved display on the pump block, with an even higher 2K resolution for better visuals.
DeepCool’s latest fans employ new dynamic balancing standards to reduce vibrations and resonance, further improving acoustic performance.
On the chassis front, DeepCool has the new CH690, designed for modern builds with a panoramic view of the internal components, alongside four pre-installed ARGB fans and an integrated display. There is also the CH170 Plus UES launching this year – an upgraded version of the compact chassis with new quick-release side panels for easier access to the internals for upgrades or maintenance.

Cryorig has expanded its cooling and PC hardware lineup at Computex 2026 with several new products designed for gamers, creators, and workstation users. Alongside its unique semi-passively cooled PC case, the company introduced the new H6 air cooler, updated Cryo360 liquid cooler, and the AI-100 high-performance PC case.
The new Cryorig H6 is an affordable CPU air cooler aimed at users looking for solid cooling without spending too much. It features a pure copper base and six 6 mm heat pipes to move heat away from the processor efficiently. The cooler measures 122 x 69 x 148 mm, making it compact enough to fit inside many PC cases.
Cryorig says the H6 can operate at noise levels as low as 31.5 dBA, helping keep systems quiet during daily use. It supports a wide range of Intel platforms, including LGA 115X, 1200, 1366, 1700, and 1851 sockets. AMD support includes the popular AM4 platform.
The company also displayed its Gladius Astral dual-tower air cooler. One of its standout features is a small screen mounted on top that can show system information and performance data.
For liquid cooling fans, Cryorig presented the updated Cryo360 all-in-one cooler. This 360 mm AIO solution comes with a ceramic shaft core water block and a round display on the pump housing. The cooler uses a 27 mm radiator and includes three PWM fans capable of delivering up to 61.24 CFM airflow while running between 900 and 2,000 RPM. Cryorig claims noise levels can stay as low as 32.2 dBA.
The company also revealed the AI-100, a large PC case built for demanding workstation and AI workloads. The chassis supports E-ATX motherboards and offers room for graphics cards up to 445 mm long. It can also accommodate CPU coolers up to 185 mm tall and power supplies up to 175 mm in length.
Storage is a major focus of the AI-100. The case includes support for up to 16 drives and provides mounting locations for up to 13 cooling fans. Users also get 10 PCIe expansion slots, making the chassis suitable for systems with multiple expansion cards.
Cooling flexibility is another highlight. The AI-100 supports a 480 mm radiator at the top or a 360 mm radiator at the front. Large mesh sections and open airflow paths are designed to improve cooling performance and help maintain strong airflow throughout the system.
To support heavy graphics cards, Cryorig has added three GPU support brackets inside the case. Front I/O connectivity includes two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
With the H6, Cryo360, and AI-100, Cryorig is showing a strong focus on cooling performance and workstation-ready designs as AI and high-performance computing continue to grow.
