(PR) Arm Reports Record Revenue for Q1 FYE27

Today (July 29, 2026), Arm (NASDAQ: ARM) published a letter to its shareholders containing the company's results for its first quarter of fiscal year 2027, which ended June 30, 2026. The infographic below provides the key highlights for the quarter:

There are what the results mean and how they were achieved:
  • Total revenue for Arm in Q1 FYE27 increased 22% year-over-year to $1.29 billion, representing another record quarter for revenue. This was driven by record first-quarter licensing and royalty revenue, with data center royalties more than doubling year over year and the continued adoption of Arm technology with higher royalty rates per chip, such as Armv9 architecture and Arm Compute Subsystems (CSS).

(PR) Microsoft Announces Fourth Quarter Fiscal Year 2026 Results

Microsoft Corp. today announced the following results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year:
  • Revenue was $90.0 billion and increased 18% (up 17% in constant currency)
  • Operating income was $40.6 billion and increased 18%
  • Net income was $35.8 billion and increased 31% on a GAAP basis, and was $35.3 billion and increased 22% on a non-GAAP basis
  • Diluted earnings per share was $4.81 and increased 32% on a GAAP basis, and was $4.74 and increased 23% on a non-GAAP basis
  • Non-GAAP results exclude the impact from investments in OpenAI, explained in the Non-GAAP Definition section below
Several discrete items impacted our financial results in the quarter when compared to our forward-looking guidance provided on April 29, 2026, resulting in a benefit of $0.27 on diluted earnings per share. These include a $3.2 billion gain from our investment in Anthropic and lower-than-expected expenses related to the Voluntary Retirement Program which were partially offset by severance expense and impairment charges in XBOX. When adjusting for these items, we exceeded expectations across revenue, operating income, and diluted earnings per share.

(PR) HRL Demonstrates a Silicon Quantum Processor That Runs Itself

HRL Laboratories published a quantum computing milestone in Nature today: a quantum processor that runs itself. Quantum computers normally depend on racks of external electronics to generate every control signal. HRL replaced those racks with a custom control chip that sits near the qubits, in the extreme cold. The combined system autonomously ran error correction, an essential routine for any future quantum computer.

HRL's approach addresses a central obstacle for all quantum computing platforms: how to control the enormous number of qubits that a useful machine will require without an unmanageable tangle of wiring and electronics.

(PR) SEMI Reports Worldwide Silicon Wafer Shipments Increase 7.4% Year-on-Year in Q2 2026

The SEMI Silicon Manufacturers Group (SMG) reported today, in its quarterly analysis of the silicon wafer industry, that worldwide silicon wafer shipments increased 7.4% year-on-year to 3,573 million square inches (MSI) from the 3,327 MSI recorded during the same quarter of 2025. Shipments increased 9.1% quarter-over-quarter from the 3,275 MSI recorded during the first quarter of 2026.

"Silicon wafer shipments maintained steady growth in the second quarter, driven by strong and increasing AI-related demand beyond advanced logic and memory to include power devices, photonics, and other markets," said Ginji Yada, Chairman of SEMI SMG and Managing Executive Officer, General Manager, Sales and Marketing Division at SUMCO Corporation. "In addition, industrial and automotive demand is recovering, while memory price pressures are contributing to constrained PC and smartphone demand. Device manufacturers are investing heavily in capacity expansion, and silicon wafer demand growth is expected to continue."

(PR) SK hynix Announces 2Q26 Financial Results

SK hynix Inc. (or "the company," www.skhynix.com) announced today that it has recorded 79.3187 trillion won in revenues, 60.5426 trillion won in operating profit (with an operating margin of 76%), and 93.9226 trillion won in net profit (with a net margin of 118%), marking an all-time high quarterly performance.

Driven by sustained demand growth from expanding AI infrastructure investments, high-performance products for AI servers led price increases, enabling the company to surpass its previous record set in the prior quarter. Consequently, cumulative revenue for the first half of the year crossed the 100 trillion won mark for the first time in company history. Revenue and operating profit increased by 257% and 557% year-over-year, respectively.

(PR) Logitech Announces Q1 Fiscal Year 2027 Results

SIX Swiss Exchange Ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 LRβ€”Logitech International (SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) today announced financial results for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027.
  • Sales were $1.23 billion, up 7 percent in US dollars and 5 percent in constant currency, compared to Q1 of the prior year.
  • GAAP gross margin was 49.5 percent, up 780 basis points, compared to Q1 of the prior year. Non-GAAP gross margin was 49.8 percent, up 770 basis points, compared to Q1 of the prior year. These numbers include $61 million in tariff refunds.
  • GAAP operating income was $259 million, up 60 percent, compared to Q1 of the prior year. Non-GAAP operating income was $290 million, up 44 percent, compared to Q1 of the prior year. These numbers include $61 million in tariff refunds.
  • GAAP earnings per share (EPS) was $1.63, up 66 percent compared to Q1 of the prior year. Non-GAAP EPS was $1.85, up 47 percent compared to Q1 of the prior year.
  • Cash flow from operations was $167 million. The quarter-ending cash balance was $1.75 billion.
  • The Company returned $114 million of cash to shareholders through share repurchases.

(PR) Seagate Reports Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2026 Financial Results

Seagate Technology Holdings plc (NASDAQ: STX) (the "Company" or "Seagate"), a leading innovator of mass-capacity data storage, today reported financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year ended July 3, 2026.

Our performance is being driven by robust cloud data center demand and disciplined execution, and we see the momentum continuing in 2027," said Dave Mosley, Seagate's chair and chief executive officer.

Alienware Launches AW2726DL 27-inch IPS 280 Hz Gaming Monitor

Alienware has launched the AW2726DL, a 27-inch gaming monitor built around a fast 2560 x 1440 IPS anti-glare coated panel with a 280 Hz refresh rate and response times of 1 ms GTG in Extreme mode (2 ms Super Fast, 4 ms Fast). The display offers 400 nits of brightness, a 1,000:1 native contrast ratio, 93% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and a pixel density of 109 PPI. For smooth gameplay, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync variable refresh technologies. For connectivity, it offers an HDMI 2.1 input that supports QHD resolution up to 280 Hz with HDR and VRR. A DisplayPort 1.4 connection is also available.

The AW2726DL monitor retains the familiar Alienware gaming-focused design with a fully adjustable stand that offers 130 mm of height adjustment, tilt (from -5Β° to 21Β°), Β±173Β° swivel and pivot support for portrait mode. In April this year, Alienware has launched the AW2726DM, a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor priced at $350. The AW2726DL model with its IPS panel @280 Hz introduced by Alienware, is now available on the official Dell website for $299.99 and is aimed at users with lower budgets who are seeking an affordable 27-inch monitor with a higher refresh rate.

NVIDIA Releases GeForce 610.88 WHQL Game Ready Drivers

NVIDIA has released the GeForce 610.88 WHQL Game Ready driver, following last week's 610.82 Beta, which was a targeted fix specifically addressing crashes in Halo: Campaign Evolved and Path of Exile 2 ahead of this full WHQL release. In addition to the resolved crashes in Halo: Campaign Evolved on RTX 50 series GPUs with 610.xx drivers and the Path of Exile 2 solution for its intermittent long pauses after extended DX12 sessions, several other gaming bugs have been fixed. The Silent Hill F receives stability improvements, and Strange Brigade and Zombie Army 4: Dead War no longer crash on exit when the NVIDIA App In-Game Overlay is active. Frame pacing in certain DX11 games when using Smooth Motion with G-SYNC enabled is also improved.

Also, NVIDIA resolved other bugs with the RTX Dynamic Vibrance that were incorrectly applying to Wallpaper Engine and Paint.NET crashes on launch when NVIDIA Surround was enabled.

NVIDIA and OpenAI Reportedly Discuss $250 Billion Deal for 10-Gigawatt Ohio Data Center

NVIDIA is in talks to provide roughly $250 billion in financing guarantees for OpenAI's planned data center campus in southern Ohio, according to the Wall Street Journal, cited by Reuters. The project is being developed by SB Energy, a SoftBank subsidiary and is a 10-gigawatt facility sited on a decommissioned uranium-enrichment site about 50 miles south of Columbus, Ohio. The total cost, including chips, could exceed $500 billion making it the largest data center project announced to date. The financing structure would have NVIDIA backstop a set of lending instruments to reassure investors, which is necessary partly because OpenAI hasn't turned a profit and can't qualify for investment-grade credit on its own. The $250 billion commitment covers the lease and construction financing but not the chips. For those it seems that NVIDIA is also in talks to help fund OpenAI's chip purchases, a figure the WSJ puts at up to $350 billion. Remember that last year, OpenAI and NVIDIA teamed up on a huge project to set up 10 gigawatts of NVIDIA systems, the latter planning (at that time) to invest up to $100 billion into OpenAI.

For OpenAI the deal would be its first directly leased data center, reducing dependence on Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle for cloud infrastructure. The company has since raised its projected computing spend to around $750 billion through 2030. For NVIDIA, backing the project effectively locks in chip demand for years. Power for the site is controlled by the U.S. government and funded separately through a recent trade deal with Japan, which agreed to invest $33 billion in a natural gas plant on the federal land in exchange for lower tariffs. Power allocation is controlled by US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, and Google have all been in contact with him about the site. The first phase is expected to be completed in 2028 at around 800 megawatts. However, the terms of the deal are not final, and it could be scrapped.
