EA Sports UFC 6 officially announced for June release

Electronic Arts has officially revealed EA Sports UFC 6, locking in a global release date of June 19th, 2026, for its upcoming fighting game. This latest entry in the premier MMA simulation franchise will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with rumours that a PC version is currently in development. While a specific launch window for the PC port has yet to be announced, fans on consoles can already pre-order one of the two distinct versions of the game.

The Standard Edition of the game features light heavyweight powerhouse Alex “Poatan” Pereira on the cover, while the Ultimate Edition highlights the Max “Blessed” Holloway. Those who opt for the Ultimate Edition will gain a significant head start with seven days of early access, allowing them to begin their climb through the ranks on June 12th. This premium edition also includes the Fighter Pass, which introduces eight new legendary fighters to the roster, with two available on launch day. Moreover, it also includes an Expansion Pass that guarantees two “fully-loaded” content drops scheduled for the winter of 2026 and the summer of 2027.

Beyond the expanded roster, both versions of the game offer pre-order bonuses in the form of the Iconic Moments bundle, which includes specialised fighter skins for Chan Sung Jung, Miesha Tate, and Leon Edwards. The Ultimate Edition further pads out the package with a VIP Pass featuring exclusive cosmetics and progression boosts, alongside a Rivalry bundle that includes 500 UFC Points. EA has teased that UFC 6 is powered by evolved striking and motion systems designed to bring a new level of realism to the Octagon, with a full feature reveal and gameplay deep-dive expected to arrive by mid-May.

Avatar Legends confirmed for July release

The competitive fighting game scene is bracing for a packed summer. In addition to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, developer Gameplay Group International has locked in a July 2nd release date for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The 2D brawler, which brings the elemental combat of the Avatar universe to life, will carry an entry price of £24.99.

Visually, the title aims for high-fidelity authenticity, boasting over 900 hand-drawn animation frames per fighter to replicate the iconic aesthetic of the Nickelodeon animated series. The base roster features 12 playable characters spanning both The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, including fan favourites like Aang, Korra, Zuko, and Azula, as well as newly revealed additions such as Fire Lord Ozai and Zaheer. To ensure the game thrives in a competitive environment, the developers have confirmed the use of proprietary rollback netcode and full crossplay support across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and both Nintendo Switch generations.

For players looking for more than just online matches, the game includes a single-player “original canon” story mode and an expansive gallery featuring never-before-seen concept art from the franchise's history. While the standard edition is budget-friendly, a deluxe edition is also available for £41.99. This premium tier includes the Year 1 Pass, granting access to five post-launch DLC characters, alongside a digital art book, soundtrack, and unique HUD skins.

Those who pull the trigger on a pre-order will receive several incentives, most notably a Samurai skin for Appa (who appears as a support character) and exclusive character colours. Perhaps most interestingly, pre-order customers will also gain voting rights to help select one of the upcoming Year 1 Pass DLC fighters, giving the community the power to shape the roster's future.

KitGuru says: Are you a fan of fighting games and Avatar? If so, the new Avatar Legends game sure looks like the perfect blend of the two.

Sad Cat Studios moves Replaced release date to April

Sad Cat Studios has announced that the anticipated cyberpunk action-platformer Replaced will see its release date pushed from March 12th to April 14th. This update, shared by the developer and publisher Thunderful, comes in as both want to do a final push to ensure the game meets the team's quality standards.

While several years of delays have preceded this, the studio maintains that this short one-month extension is intended solely for “polishing and refinement”, rather than major content overhauls. The decision to delay was influenced by feedback from the game's first public Steam demo, which launched earlier this month. While the response was positive, specific critiques regarding movement feel and technical hitches prompted the team to spend extra time ironing them out.

Sad Cat Studios described the game as “technically finished.” Still, they emphasised that as a small team working on their debut title, they want the version players experience on day one to be exactly as they envisioned.

When it finally arrives this spring, Replaced will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Microsoft Store. It is also confirmed as a day-one addition to the Xbox Game Pass library. For those who cannot wait until April, the developers have noted that the demo remains live on Steam, allowing players to experience the early sections of R.E.A.C.H.'s journey before the full game debuts.

KitGuru says: This isn't the game's first delay, but hopefully it will be its last. In the end, it might be better for them, as Crimson Desert's launch would be around the same time as Replaced's.
