be quiet! is showcasing a wide range of new hardware at Computex 2026. The company’s suite includes first looks at the Dark Power Pro 14 IO flagship PSU, the Light Loop IO LCD liquid cooler, the Dark Rock Pro 6 IO LCD air cooler, the Light Wings Pro IO fan series, the new Pure Base 803 case and the Light Mount TKL keyboard, alongside the company’s first accessory, the Mousepad XL.

First up is the Dark Power Pro 14 IO, available in 1300W and 1600W models with 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium efficiency. The IO in the name here refers to be quiet!'s new IO Center software, allowing you to switch cooling modes, switch between multi-rail and single-rail operation or see real-time stats for power usage in just a few clicks. The IO theme will continue throughout the rest of the be quiet! products highlighted here.

The Dark Rock Pro 6 IO LCD adds a 4.5‑inch IPS display to the top cover of the heatsink, while keeping other design aspects in line with the previous Dark Rock Pro 6. This one is also controllable through IO Center, including settings for cooling modes, fan curves and display settings.

The Light Loop IO LCD AIO brings similar upgrades. There is a 2.1-inch IPS display on the CPU block, and it ships with daisy-chained Light Wings LX PWM fans, along with a redesigned jet plate and a new pump to improve performance compared to previous Light Loop versions, and a refill port so you can top up or replace the coolant. Like the Dark Rock Pro 6 IO, this one will link into IO Center for easy access to settings.

As you might expect, there are some Light Wings Pro IO case fans on the way as well. These ones are built with ARGB enthusiasts in mind though, with up to 124 LEDs per fan, which is a significant number of extra LEDs over many other ARGB fans on the market.

be quiet! is also gearing up to launch its new Pure Base 803 line of cases, available in standard, Workstation and LX versions. The series supports multiple 420mm radiators, back-connect motherboards and plenty of fans for airflow. However, the LX variant replaces the front fan mounts with side intakes and adds an extra glass panel to the front for a fishtank style build.

For peripherals, be quiet! has the Light Mount TKL mechanical keyboard with sound‑damped construction and per‑key ARGB, and the Mousepad XL, a 900×500mm cloth surface with a 3mm rubber base and stitched edges for those who like their mouse mat to cover most of the desk.

KitGuru Says: Be quiet! is going all in on its new software integration. Will you be looking to pick up any of their new gear for a new PC build?

Combat Racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, the Epic Games Store gives away a title or two as part of the platform’s free game program. While the past month or so saw Epic giving away ‘Mystery Titles’ the storefront has since returned to business as usual – announcing that next week’s free offering will be the “adrenaline-fueled” combat racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

Available to add to your library from the 11th of June up until the 18th, next week’s free game is confirmed to be Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

A combat racer in the style of PlayStation’s classic Twisted Metal series – albeit with far greater scope on the racing side of things – Speed Freeks released just over a year ago on PC to ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam with many noting it as an underrated title. The game also recently found its way onto consoles, adding crossplay among other inclusions.

As mentioned, Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be available from next Thursday. In the meantime, Epic Games Store account holders can get their hands on the tactical turn-based Rogue-like ‘Rogue Waters’ alongside ‘Songs of Conquest’ – a visually pleasing turn-based strategy adventure game. Both titles are available to claim from now until the 11th of June.

Computex 2026: Noctua’s new AIO, Thermosiphon tech and more

Noctua arrived at Computex 2026 with far more than just another fan or air cooler. In our latest video, Leo gets an early look at Noctua's new Thermosiphon technology, their very first AIO liquid cooler and more.

Watch via YouTube below:

01:14 NL-LC1 Cooler
02:23 Thermosiphon Technology
03:40 Seasonic Next Gen Prime PSU / LED light concept

Noctua's big announcement at Computex this year is its new partnership with Carbice, creating new thermal pads to improve heat transfer and replace standard thermal pastes for cooling. You can read all about that, HERE.

Moving on to Noctua's very first AIO liquid cooler – the NL-LC1. This AIO is based on the new Asetek G8 V2 platform. To tackle pump noise, Noctua has included three layers of sound-dampening materials. On the radiator, you will find three premium NF-A14x25 G2 fans, or NF-A12x25 fans, tuned for excellent performance to noise efficiency, as you would expect from a signature Noctua product.

The cooler will be available in 240mm, 360mm and 420mm form factors when it launches later this month. We don't have pricing for each of the models yet, but we've heard that the 360mm model will cost £249.99, which is on the very high-end side of the market.

Looking ahead to the future, Noctua is also showing a new AIO prototype here at Computex. This version is very different as it doesn't include any pump at all. Instead, the cooler acts as a giant vapor chamber of sorts, sending vapor up one channel to then condense inside the radiator, then the liquid generated in the radiator flows back down another channel towards the CPU block. It is a very different approach to AIO cooling, but we do not yet know when something like this will be available on the consumer market. Due to the way this cooler functions, it also has to be top-mounted, as gravity will be relied upon to move liquid inside of the unit.

Interestingly, the performance preview we saw at Computex showed that the prototype vapour-based AIO was matching the performance of Noctua's new pump-equipped AIO on a Ryzen 9 9950X3D.

KitGuru Says: What did you think of Noctua's showing this year? Are you interested in their new AIO coolers?

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 this August

From the initial announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, it was clear that the console maker was hoping to turn the sequel system into far more than just an exclusives machine, confirming a plethora of major 3rd party titles being in development for the company’s handheld-hybrid. That said, one of its biggest offerings – Elden Ring – went AWOL following its less-than-stellar pre-release performance reports. Finally, it seems FromSoftware and co. have managed to optimise the experience, officially announcing that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is arriving on Switch 2 this August.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition was first announced for the Nintendo Switch 2 back during the console’s official unveiling. Since then, those who got to try the game out early during Gamescom last year reported poor performance, with noticeable frame rate drops reaching as low as sub-20 FPS.

Following this, FromSoftware made the official announcement that Elden Ring had been delayed on Switch 2 until some time in 2026.

Half way into the year and we have finally gotten an update, with the team confirming that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will be arriving on Switch 2 in just a couple months: on the 28th of August.

Elden Ring Tarnished

For the uninitiated, the Tarnished Edition serves as the complete version of Elden Ring, including the base game, its Shadow of the ErdTree DLC; 4 new armour sets; 2 new classes; and a few cosmetics for ‘Torrent the spectral steed’.

Those who own the game on another platform will be able to pick up the ‘Tarnished Pack’ as a separate purchase on the same day at its Switch 2 launch for 550 yen (roughly £2.50, though we will have to wait for official UK prices).

Either way, while it may have taken far longer than expected, Elden Ring is finally almost ready to be experienced on Nintendo Switch 2. Hopefully performance is solid.

KitGuru says: Have you been waiting for the Switch 2 version? Is a 30fps experience good enough for you? Should the DLC be given away for free? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Computex 2026: Seasonic’s new 5200W 80Plus Ruby PSU and more

At Computex this year, Seasonic is showcasing a new wave of developments, giving us an idea of where power delivery is heading next. In our video, Leo breaks it all down, from the traditional Focus series, all the way up to massive new 5200W units.

Watch via YouTube below:

Timestamps:

01:23 New Power Supplies / EDPP
03:25 Prime Enterprise 3200
03:54 Focus GX1000 (Limited Edition)
04:07 5200W and Enterprise Power Supplies
04:55 Seasonic Optiguard

On the consumer front, Seasonic has new Focus SFX-L power supplies, offering modular cables, up to 1300W capacity and 80Plus Gold efficiency, along with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliancy. There are also full-sized ATX versions of the Focus power supply, offering capacities up to 1000W with 80Plus Platinum efficiency.

The Seasonic Core series is where gamers will go for a cheaper full-sized option while keeping 80Plus Gold efficiency. If you need a bit more power than that, then a Seasonic Vertex is your point of call, offering the same efficiency rating, but bumping capacities up to 1200W.

If you want something that looks a bit different, there is a limited edition ‘Sakura' version of the Focus GX-1000, although we don't know exactly how globally available these units will be.

Seasonic Prime has always been the flagship and that continues to be true today. The new Prime Enterprise models promise capacities all the way up to 3200W, intended to power high-end workstations and AI systems, although you will have to deal with only having two native 12V-2×6 connectors on most models.

The Seasonic Prime Enterprise series also stands out for its EDPP protection features. Essentially, in AI-ready multi-GPU systems, there can be sudden and repeated power changes. EDPP creates stricter dynamic load validation to ensure power delivery remains stable during scenarios like this.

Moving further into the enterprise segment, Seasonic also has a 5200W PSU here for AI systems, including an extremely rare 80Plus Ruby efficiency rating.

Following on from a preview last year, Seasonic has also showed the latest improvements to its new OptiGuard technology. These are new ‘smart' cables for 12V-2×6 equipped graphics cards, allowing per-pin monitoring for load and giving warnings if there is an issue, so you can power down the system safely and check that the connector is seated properly to avoid disaster.

ModRetro leverages AMD FPGAs for upcoming N64-compatible console

ModRetro has announced its upcoming M64 gaming console, designed to play original Nintendo N64 cartridges. Built with AMD Artix UltraScale+ FPGAs, the new console aims to replicate the original console at the hardware level rather than relying on software emulation.

ModRetro focuses on manufacturing retro gaming systems that support original physical cartridges. One such example is the Chromatic, a handheld console designed for original Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges.

The company drew on its prior experience to power its new M64 console with AMD's Artix UltraScale+ FPGA. The console recreates classic gameplay by directly emulating the original hardware chip logic, which the company claims delivers greater accuracy and lower latency than software emulation. The company also stated that the design mimics the original system's behaviour, matching everything from controller inputs to on-screen responses.

Those interested in the ModRetro M64 can sign up to get notified when the console launches on the official product page. The console is scheduled to begin shipping on July 28th.

KitGuru says: FPGA-based hardware emulation is an excellent way to preserve classic games without the accuracy issues of software emulation.

Computex 2026: SilverStone’s updated retro case, new AIOs and massive power supplies

Today at Computex 2026, we visited SilverStone to check out the newly updated FLP03 retro case, alongside massive new server-grade chassis, 3000W+ power supplies and new AIO liquid coolers.

Watch via YouTube below:

Timestamps:

09:58 Business and Consumer Power Supplies
11:05 AIO Coolers
11:57 Air Coolers
12:38 CS240 / CS 340 NAS

SilverStone has taken a big shift this year towards enterprise-grade and server hardware to meet growing demand from the AI sector. The RM61-MCS is a prime example and one of the first cases we go over in our video. This one is built to house multi-GPU setups with liquid cooling. The example we saw had all seven PCIe slots used up, each with a liquid cooling block and tubing attached. The Ultra Fort 5110 uses a layout more akin to a high-end gaming PC, though it is built for enterprise-grade systems, with space for dual power supplies (with no redundancy), two RTX 5090s and dual CPU socket motherboards, as well as liquid cooling.

The WS520-R takes things a step further by widening the chassis to create room for custom liquid-cooling hardware, while most of the previous systems shown used AIOs. The extra space at the front of the case could also be used for storage bays instead if required.

The WS381-E is built with mass storage in mind. It has easily-accessible HDD and SSD bays going all the way up the front of the chassis. Then further into the case, behind the storage-focused front panel, there are the three cooling fans you would typically expect to see, though this pillar can be removed if needed. Inside are two RTX Pro graphics cards, alongside an AIO-cooled CPU and a roof-mounted PSU. The RM48 and RM49 cases are a bit more traditional, created for high-end workstations with huge amounts of space inside for cooling.

Those looking to build a NAS will want to look towards SilverStone's CS line, including the CS340 and CS240, designed with high airflow in mind to keep your drives running cool.

On the consumer side of things, SilverStone is showing off the FLP03, which is a newer retro-style case. This one has a removable front-panel hiding a massive 180mm intake fan. Other parts of the front panel, like the alternative power and reset switches, can be removed to fit another huge intake fan at the front. If you do opt to remove the alternative power switch section from the front panel, you can use the more modern I/O at the top of the case instead, which includes power/reset buttons, USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as headphone and microphone jacks. While it is a very compact Micro-ATX case internally, there is still room for AIO liquid cooling for your CPU, and a full PSU shroud, even with the massive floppy bays at the front.

The SETA X1M appears to be the same design as the FLP03, but in a complete black finish for those who don't want the retro white/beige colours.

For something a bit more modern, SilverStone has the LD06 and LD-06M, which are both fishtank style cases with three-sided glass panels and back-connect motherboard support.

On the power supply front, SilverStone has a huge range of enterprise-grade units, including slim-profile 3200W units for space-constrained racks. For something more traditional, SilverStone has the Hela series of ATX-sized PSUs, each with 80Plus Platinum efficiency, modular cables and capacities up to 3200W. SilverStone has also brought a new dust-resistant coating to the PCBs of its FX-series power supplies to help with longevity.

For AIO liquid coolers, SilverStone has the new Hailstone 360 and 420. These are designed for workstations, supporting LGA 1851/1700 Intel sockets, as well as AMD's sTR5, SP6, TR4, AM4 and AM5 sockets. They also come with an interchangeable pump top, so you can swap one in that has an extra fan on top to help cool RAM. There is also a range of workstation-grade air coolers as well, including the more traditional looking XED100 and the XE04E-1851, as well as the ultra-slim XE01 and the dual heatsink XE02 for Threadripper and AM5 systems.

Sony’s recent PlayStation State of Play was jam-packed with a number of exciting announcements, from the first look at Ikumi Nakamura’s ‘Kemuri’ to official confirmation of Rayman Legends Retold, and of course, the announcement of the God of War spin-off / side-quel Laufey. As expected however, the console maker kicked things off with the first proper look at gameplay and pre-order details for Insomniac’s Wolverine ahead of its launch this September.

Shown off during Sony’s State of Play (and expanded upon via the PlayStation Blog), Insomniac Games offered fans a comprehensive look into Marvel’s Wolverine. As expected, the title is more linear and structured in nature when compared to the studio’s Spider-Man offerings, being described as “a brutal, violent, and action-packed single-player adventure.”

Even so, it appears as though players will be able to approach certain situations differently, with the gameplay demo showcasing a mix of both stealth and bloody action alongside a ton of environmental interactivity during combat.

Perhaps the biggest surprise from the showing was the reveal that Logan won’t always be fighting alone, with the likes of Jean Grey assisting during the mission; allowing for cool dual-takedowns of enemies. Other notable mutants revealed to be present during the story include Mystique and Sabretooth.

Gameplay-wise, Insomniac detailed some of Logan's many abilities, with the Wolverine being able to tap into special combat moves such as a ‘Tornado Spin’ and ‘Bull Rush’. Alongside a health bar, players will be able to manage Logan’s rage meter. Split into 3 chunks, “every successful attack, parry, and kill will build up Logan’s Rage” allowing him to hit harder and heal faster – with Tier 3 activating a comic-inspired “monochromatic explosion of savagery.”

While we already knew when to expect Wolverine to be released, PlayStation have now gone live with pre-orders. Announcing 2 different editions, the standard costs £69.99 and will include the core game and little else (although all those who pre-order will be given early access to a couple cosmetics alongside 1 technique point and a collection of PlayStation avatars).

The Digital Deluxe Edition meanwhile goes for £10 extra (£79.99) and throws in 5 exclusive skins; 5 exclusive claws and 3 additional technique points – alongside the aforementioned pre-order bonuses.

While we’ve already seen more than enough to generate a great deal of excitement, Insomniac Games have promised that there is more to share in the lead-up to launch, including “more intense battles, suits, enemy factions, and characters”. Marvel’s Wolverine officially launches on the 15th of September.

God of War side-quel ‘Laufey’ officially announced, set during the events of GOW (2018)

For years, we have been hearing that Sony Santa Monica were working on a mysterious project, seemingly tied to the God of War franchise while also being its own thing. Finally, we have gotten confirmation on what this project is, with PlayStation officially announcing God of War Laufey – a spin-off starring Kratos’ wife Faye following her death during the opening of 2018’s God of War.

Officially announced during PlayStation’s State of Play as part of a 20-minute long gameplay demonstration, God of War Laufey follows Faye in the immediacy following her funeral at the start of 2018’s GOW entry.

“Awakening unexpectedly in a strange land after her funeral” this new protagonist must fight her way “through the afterlife of the gods – the Everywhen – where ruthless gods from across mythology vie for power in a land overflowing with dangerous magic.”

Based on the gameplay shared, Laufy features a similar-yet-different approach to combat, with Faye being equally as fast as she is strong. Wielding a mysterious sword and her magic abilities, Laufey is said to combine “the movement and fluidity of the Greek era with the Norse era’s approach to world-building and close ties with characters.”

Those who played through God of War Ragnarok may recognise that Sony Santa Monica were already messing around with different combat styles in their last game, and so this successor feels like a natural evolution in this regard.

Perhaps the biggest surprise came with the reveal that Faye will not be going on this journey alone. Similar to the prior two entries, Laufey will include a couple permanent companions: The cosmic cube ‘Phranque’ (played by Jack Quaid of The Boys fame) and an enchanted ribbon ‘Rue’ (played by Perlina Lau).

Despite being set in the God of War universe, Laufey does in many ways feel like its own sub-series, and so it will be interesting to see where the story goes, and how it ties into the events of 2018’s God of War and Ragnarok. Additional details, including interviews with the cast, director and more can be found HERE.

Control Resonant will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 for 2 days

One of the most anticipated upcoming titles for 2026 is Control Resonant, the sequel to Remedy Entertainment's highly-underrated action-adventure 3rd-person metroidvania-esque shooter from 2019. As with most major releases nowadays, Resonant will include 48 hours of Advanced Access to those who purchase the Deluxe Edition. In an unexpected twist however, this 2 days of Advanced Access is exclusive to PlayStation players, with everyone else needing to wait until the 24th of September to get in on the action.

As part of Sony's recent PlayStation State of Play, Control Resonant was shown off once again ahead of the game’s upcoming launch on the 24th of September. Curiously however, alongside the preview, Remedy revealed that those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will be privy to 48 hours of Advanced Access.

As mentioned, this practice has become somewhat commonplace in the industry, and so while disappointing, it wasn’t too unexpected. What was a surprise however was confirmation that this 48 hour period is exclusive to PS5 owners.

Control Resonant Advanced Access

Taking to Twitter to seek clarification, one fan asked Remedy’s communications director Thomas Puha: “Just wondering.. is the 48H early access exclusive to PS5?” to which they replied simply with “Yes.”

Given how big of a focus story and narrative is in Remedy's games, having 48 hours of advanced access on a single platform is somewhat troubling, and evokes memories of the 7th and 8th-gen timed-console exclusives – albeit with a far accelerated timeline.

Regardless, Control Resonant looks to be an excellent game worth playing irrespective of when it releases on your platform. Still, this does put a bit of a damper on things.

KitGuru says: What do you think of Advanced Access in general? Is this another step in the wrong direction? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Other new cases being announced this week include the 2800X, a compact mATX design with wraparound glass, 360mm top‑radiator support and three RS120‑R reverse‑rotor fans, and the Frame 5000D Wood RS, which adds a solid‑wood front panel, modular interior and support for 420mm radiators.

The HX1000i Shift Crystal adds transparent panels and PinProtect+ OCP, while a refreshed line-up of RMe power supplies now ship with ThermalProtect 12V-2×6 power cables so you can protect an expensive RTX 50 GPU from potential load-balancing issues within the power connector.

The Titan II 360 RX RGB and RX LCD variants use lower‑density radiators and RX II fans for quieter operation. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes to Switch 2 this September alongside new DLC

With the launch of the Switch 2, we’ve seen an increasing number of developers begin to support Nintendo’s latest handheld-hybrid with 3rd-party releases. That said, some of these titles have been late arrivals, or are still waiting to be released. Fortunately, one game which is only seeing a couple months buffer between its PC/PS5/Xbox and Switch 2 launch is LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – officially coming to Switch 2 this September.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight recently released across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, arriving on the 19th of May to solid and consistent reviews across the board.

While Switch 2 owners were unfortunately left out during this launch period, the game is set to make its way to the portable platform soon, with Warner Bros. confirming that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight “comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18!”

This launch will coincide with the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC, and luckily Switch owners will be able to join in on day-one alongside all other platforms.

Unfortunately, we have yet to receive any technical specifications for the Switch 2 version of the game. That said, the trailer released maxes out at just 1080p and 30fps. While this does not necessarily mean that the full game won’t feature higher resolutions/framerates, it does not lend any confidence to the idea – especially as this is the first offering from TTGames to run on Unreal Engine 5.

Either way, LEGO games are a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch, and so it is exciting to see that Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to the platform sooner than some may have been expecting.

KitGuru says: Have you played Legacy of the Dark Knight? How did it run for you? Will the game be locked to 30fps on Switch 2? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Computex 2026: be quiet! expands PSU, case, cooling, and peripheral lineup

At Computex this week, be quiet! is launching new products across the board, including new AIO liquid coolers, new fans, new power supplies and even new gaming peripherals.

The Dark Power Pro 14 IO flagship power supply arrives in 1300W and 1600W variants, offering 80 Plus Titanium efficiency, ATX 3.1 compliance, and native PCIe 5.1 support. For PC builders, the new Pure Base 803 case series supports back-connect motherboards and up to three 420mm radiators, available in standard, LX and Workstation variants.

A newly refreshed Light Loop IO LCD AIO liquid cooler is also on the way this year with a 2.1-inch IPS screen. For those who prefer air cooling but don't want to give up the display, there is the new Dark Rock Pro 6 IO LCD air cooler featuring a 4.5-inch display on the top cover. Both integrate with the company's IO Center software for real-time monitoring and custom visuals. If you just need some new case fans rather than a whole new cooler, then be quiet! has the new Light Wings Pro IO, featuring up to 124 LEDs per fan for even better visuals.

Moving on to peripherals, the company revealed the Light Mount TKL, a mechanical gaming keyboard with factory-lubricated linear or tactile switches and hot-swappable 5-pin switch support, as well as a new extra-large mouse mat.
