Marvel’s Wolverine reportedly sells 1.9 million copies in 3 Days
All that review-score doom-looming didn’t actually stop anyone from buying Marvel’s Wolverine.
According to market analyst Rhy Elliot of Alinea Analytics, he posted on X that Insomniac’s latest has shifted roughly 1.9 million copies in just three days, pulling in around $130 million. Physical copies made up 22.9% of that, with the US accounting for 53% of sales, followed by the UK at 7%, France at 5%, and Canada at 4%.

Given the reception the game’s had, that’s a proper reversal of fortune. Critics weren’t kind, but once PlayStation players started handing out scores as high as 97/100, the narrative shifted fast, and apparently so did wallets.
Elliot’s numbers also put Wolverine ahead of Death Stranding 2’s lifetime PS5 sales of 1.8 million, and comfortably past MLB The Show’s 1.5 million on PS5. Saros trails well behind at 510,000 PS5 units, while Marathon (1.8 million) and Marvel Tōkon (740,000) haven’t caught up either, even counting sales across every platform.

That makes Wolverine the best-performing PlayStation Studios release of the year so far, at least going by these early figures. Not bad for a game everyone was ready to write off before launch.
